Hemodynamická stabilizace pacienta v septickém šoku zahrnuje celou řadu terapeutických možnosti, od tekutinové resuscitace, přes vazopresorickou a inotropní podporu po použití va-ECMO. V rozporu s touto multimodální terapeutickou intervenci jsou monotematicky zaměřené SSC Guidelines, které dlouhodobě kladou důraz na agresivní úvodní tekutinovou resuscitaci, jako neoddělitelnou součásti resuscitace septického šoku. Obsahem zdělení je kriticky pohled na SSC Guidelines, kritický pohled na „fluid responsibilitu“, která je velice často (ne-li vždy) považována za ukazatel hypovolémie a praktický návod jak rozeznat čtyři základní hemodynamické fenotypy septického šoku: vazodilatační, hypovolemický, kardiogenní a septickou kardiomyopatii.
