Doc. MUDr. Lumír Kunovský, Ph.D. se narodil v roce 1984 v Brně, kde také dokončil studia na Lékařské fakultě Masarykovy univerzity v roce 2010. Poté nastoupil v roce 2010 na Chirurgickou kliniku Fakultní nemocnice Brno a LF MU. Pro jeho zájem o digestivní endoskopii pracuje od roku 2016 také na Interní gastroenterologické klinice Fakultní nemocnice Brno a LF MU. V roce 2018 ukončil postgraduální doktorské studium, obhájil disertační práci na téma „Mutace genu NOD2/CARD15 - predikce chirurgické léčby Crohnovy choroby?“. Atestaci z gastroenterologie úspěšně složil v roce 2019. Docentem byl jmenován v roce 2021 po obhájení habilitační práce „Moderní přístupy v chirurgické léčbě Crohnovy choroby“. V současnosti se věnuje především digestivní endoskopii, onemocnění slinivky a IBD. Je autorem řady významných publikacích zabývající se zmíněnou problematikou. Získal prestižní ocenění za nejlepší publikovanou práci v impaktovaném časopise (cena Purkyňova nadačního fondu 2020 a Jedličkova cena 2020). Absolvoval několik zahraničních stáží (Francie, Španělsko, Chile, Indie, Japonsko a Austrálie) převážně orientovaných na digestivní endoskopii. Aktivně spolupracuje s řadou evropských univerzitních center (Mnichov, Aalborg, Paříž, Stockholm, Heidelberg, Madrid), podílí se na výzkumu genetických mutací karcinomu pankreatu (Univerzita v Heidelbergu) a hodnocení optimální léčby autoimunitní pankreatitidy (Univerzita ve Stockholmu). Dále působí jako národní koordinátor mezinárodního registru pro infekci Helicobacter pylori. Je členem řady odborných společností, např. ČCHS, ČGS a mnoha dalších. V zahraničí je pak členem ESGE, ECCO a EPC. Pravidelně přednáší jak na domácích, tak na mezinárodních kongresech. Působil v předsednictví dvou odborných sekcí Evropského kongresu digestivní endoskopie organizovaného Evropskou společnosti pro digestivní endoskopii „ESGE days 2021“ a podílel se jako spoluautor na evropských doporučení pro léčbu ampulárních a duodenálních lézí (ESGE guidelines).

Michal Holčapek obtained his Ph.D. at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, University of Pardubice. Now he is a full professor of analytical chemistry at the same university. The research focus is in mass spectrometry and its coupling with liquid chromatography and supercritical fluid chromatography, applied mainly in the lipidomic analysis and cancer biomarker research. He obtained several scientific awards, such as the Power List of 100 most influential people in the analytical sciences (2020, 2015 and 2013, The Analytical Scientist). He is a co-author of 148 papers in peer-reviewed international journals, h-index 43, contributing editor of Trends in Analytical Chemistry, member of editorial advisory boards of Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, Lipids. He was an co-editor of books Handbook of Advanced Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry Techniques (Academic Press and AOCS Press, 2017) and Extreme Chromatography: Faster, Hotter, Smaller (American Oil Chemical Society, 2011), editor of topical collections in Analytical Chemistry, Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, and Journal of Chromatography A, former head of Czech Mass Spectrometry Section in I.M.M. Spectroscopic Society and national representative in International Mass Spectrometry Foundation (2005-13), the chairman of over ten international and national conferences, e.g., HPLC 2017 Prague, 3rd European Lipidomic Meeting in 2013, etc. He is one of founding members of Lipidomics Standards Initiative and vice-president for conferences in the International Lipidomics Society.
