Dear friends of digestive endoscopy,
allow me, on behalf of the organizers of the 21th Olomouc Live Endoscopy 2026, to cordially invite you to Olomouc. Le me begin by providing some basic information.
What can we look forward to?
Digestive endoscopy has undergone fascinating development over past 50 years, evolving from diagnostic views into the digestive tract to invasive therapeutic procedures of surgical nature. This international workshop, Olomouc Live Endoscopy, aims to reflect on that progress. Over more than 20 years, we have conducted hundreds of live transmissions of procedures performed by leading Czech and international endoscopists to educate endoscopic teams. Our audience has grown from initial few dozen enthusiasts to nearly 400 participants.In 2026 we are organizing another part of this series under the theme of “Safety first “.
The main program will feature live endoscopic transmissions from the endoscopic center of the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine at Olomouc University Hospital. The event traditionally follows the pancreatology day organized by the Czech Pancreatology Club. We are delighted that outstanding endoscopists will join as international gests: Dr. Giuseppe Vanella (Milano), Dr. Livia Archibugi (Milano), Assoc. Prof. Henrietta Heinrich (Basel), Assoc. Prof. Steven Bollipo (Newcastle, Australia) and our dear friends from Slovakia.
